Mediasound play -- play sound / stream file

Mediasound play (file$)

To play a sound file named Filename$ which can be of any supported format (e.g. WAV, MP3, etc.) sound play will return a number ID. 
ID give 1 back. this is needed to stop playing.
MEDIASOUND you must wait a little before you hear the stream:

ID = MEDIASOUND PLAY SoundFile$
sleep 3
MEDIASOUND STOP ID

This first loads the file SoundFile$, plays it for three seconds and then stops it.
